I hung out and slept over at Katy's yesterday! We made Star Trek cookies with her friend Tony, who helped a lot, especially because Katy can't cook. Shh. I'll do a full post about it when Katy uploads the pictures. I'm currently munching on a nameless red shirt. Yum.

Ugh, the whole Panic thing. At the moment I'm kind of torn between being upset because the band I loved is broken up, and they were supposed to last longer than this, and being happy that they are making the music they want to and that we will get music from both groups. And if you haven't heard Brendon's cover of Three Little Birds, click here. It will make your heart grow three sizes. Or more. ♥

P.S. I still have two Dreamwidth codes for anyone who wants them

So I've decided for Band Girls Big Bang I'm going to write a Star Trek type AU. If I can't write fast enough to get it done by July 10th, then I'll just write it for fun. However, outside of the three times I've seen the reboot movie, I know next to nothing about the Trek universe, so I need some help! I mostly just need someone to bounce plot ideas off of. I know the basic plot, but it involves two missions and I have no idea what a mission could entail that would be dangerous and exciting. I also know little about how people from non-Terran planets enlisting in Starfleet works, and that's a plot point as well. I would also need a quick read-through of the fic to make sure everything seems right from a Trek perspective. It's a crossover type thing involving only characters from bandom, but if you don't know bandom, that's okay, just view them as original characters. If you do know bandom, however, even better! 1. Make a list of things you can see without getting up.
Two cups, mosquito bite cream, lotion, Ibuprofen, Sudafed, a notepad, three pencils, a pair of scissors, Burt's Bees chapstick, the back of a reciept with "Beth ddigwyddodd iddo fe?" and "Honi soit qui mal y pense" written on it, an envelope from Swarthmore College, my invitation for Thespian Society, a flash drive, a crochet hook (size J), and a little thing of paperclips without turning my head.

2. How do you style your hair?
I brush it.

3. What are you wearing right now?
A jumper-style tank top (blue top half, a brown sash at the waist (empire height), and blue and brown flowers on cream fabric below the waist) and my comfy jeans

4. What kind of job would you never work?
Military

5. Do you nap a lot?
No

6. Who was the last person you hugged?
My mom

Fandom: Bandom and Star Trek; Obsession: Vulcans; Addiction: The Sims

8. What was the last thing you ate today?
Popcorn

9. Which is your favourite genocide or mass death?

Sitting at the computer, obviously

Bandom or Star Trek fic

Guh, so many! I love Indian food, and also anything with goat cheese.

15. Do you collect anything?
Band posters for my wall. Also, I keep all the letters and cards I get, as well as programs and paper memorabilia, in a shoebox because I love old paper and hopefully someday it will be all old and rustly and smell good. Also, it would be nice to look back at things someday, and show them to my kids and grandkids.

16. Which Hogwarts house would you be in? Why?
Ravenclaw, because they're smart

17. How are you?
Pretty good

18. What are you currently reading?

Ugh, I thought I had all my future shit figured out, but lately I've been thinking, and theater really isn't the path for me. It's fun, yeah, but there is no way I can make a life out of it. I'm just not passionate enough about it, and I've barely improved over the past years. So now I have to figure out what I AM going to do with my life. I had been thinking journalism if theater didn't work out, and I definitely want to pursue that, but lately thoughts of graphic design have been playing around in my mind. More of the typography type than of the artsy-fartsy type. I kind of want to try it, at least, in college. All I do know is, I'm not going to be declaring a major right away like I thought I was going to. Things are just too uncertain, and I doubt I'll have it all figured out by the end of next year. It's almost relieving, though, in a way; somewhere in me, I knew theater wasn't the right thing, and now that I've finally accepted it, I feel good. I can now do something that I'm actually really talented at, rather than something I liked to pretend I was talented at. I'm still going to do theater in highschool, and I'll try to do lots of auditions and such still after that, but I'm not going to make it my path in life.

Hay guys! I'm seeing Forgive Durden tonight, so if you have any pictures of Thomas Dutton, please to be showing me them so I know what he looks like.

This is the first time I've posted from my Dreamwidth. I'm not switching over, but I figured I might as well do a crosspost from here so I can have some entries on DW and still update my LJ.

Today I spent about 4 and a half hours making a cake that's a faily realistic heart cross-section for HPA. I better get lots of points. My calcaneus bones hurt (that's my heel bones for non-crazy-people who don't have a final coming up @__@). However, this video is my happy place:

so it's cheering me up a lot. Thanks, Kit, for introducing me to the wonderfulness of Johnny Weir!

Also, this short story thing I wrote for our literary magazine, Flames, got in! This will be my second year having something in Flames! Yay ♥

Uh, hi! I'm Miranda. I guess this can be my introductory post. My love is theater, and my fandom is bandom. I'm 17, almost done with being a junior in highschool. I live in Arizona, where it is currently 101 degrees. In May. I love all kinds of music and beautiful things. I occasionally write pretty mediocre fic and very rarely write really good stuff, although it usually isn't fic. I like photography, crocheting cute little animals, sleeping, doing logic puzzles, AIM (oCagesorWingso, IM me any time), flowers, dresses, the Victorian era, prose, grammar, and many other various and sundry things. Enjoy!
